Minutes of the Willo-Esque Homeowners Association Board of Directors meeting held Tuesday, May 13, 2003.

            Roger Sackreiter called the meeting to order at the Willo-Esque apartment complex clubhouse and declared the election polls to be open at 7:00 p.m.  All board members and nine area residents were present.

MINUTES – After review of the minutes of the March 13, 2003 HOA meeting, Mattie Sackreiter moved to approve the minutes as printed.  Tammy Moore seconded the motion and the motion passed without opposition.

OLD BUSINESS – After review of the proposed budget for 2003, Mattie moved to approve the budget as proposed.  Tammy seconded the motion and it passed without opposition. 

FINANCIAL REPORT – Charles Chambers asked if there had been any investigation into obtaining a higher rate of interest on savings.  Roger said that, since those funds needed to remain liquid, they needed to be kept in a regular savings account.

Roger said that letters would be mailed on June 1st to homeowners delinquent in their HOA dues and lean notices to be mailed out on June 15th.

Mattie moved to approve it as presented.  Tammy seconded the motion and it passed without opposition.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

                         ARCHITECTUAL COMMITTEE – Don Doze said there was an outstanding application to put of a fence in the                               Third Addition.

            SOCIAL COMMITTEE – Roger said the Kids’ Easter party at the pool complex had been well attended with                         the Easter Bunny and a city fire truck both being big hits with the kids.

             The next scheduled neighborhood social event will be the annual picnic on July 19th at 6 p.m. at the pool complex.

            COMMON GROUNDS – Roger said that a number of new trees have been planted on the common grounds.  He said he has also received a number of complaints from area residents about the dandelions on the common grounds.

            Roger said the rose garden in the sidewalk triangle on common grounds next to the wheat field and just to the east of 200 Ceymarie Circle, is needing to be cared for.   Roger will talk to the current owners and see what they want to do.

MOWING STATUS – Roger reported the purchase of a new 8 H.P. sidewalk edger.

            POOL COMPLEX STATUS – Roger said it will take about one more work day to finish the remodeling of the pool house bathrooms.  The drainage problems have been repaired and new push-button faucet controls have been installed on the sinks and showers

            New pool pins will be required this year.  Area residents, whose dues are current, may pick their up at the Sackreiter’s home (6838 Sheriac) between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. May 21st – May 23rd or during regular hours at the pool on May 24th – May 26th.  Residents are also asked to turn in their old pool pins at that time.

            AREA SECURITY – There was some discussion of the high speed police chase through the neighborhood last weekend.

            ELECTION – Roger recessed the meeting at 8:15 p.m., reconvened it at 9 p.m. and announced the polls were closed.  The election committee reported that 49 votes were cast and that Roger Sackreiter was reelected to serve another term on the board.

            Roger thanked Bob Orth and George Knapple for their work conducting the election.

            NEXT MEETING – The next HOA board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at the Willo-Esque apartment complex clubhouse

            ADJOURNMENT – The meeting adjourned at 9:14 p.m.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Willo-Esque Pool Complex opens on Saturday May 24 at Noon till 9PM.  New pool pins will be issued this year.  Area residents, whose dues are current, may pick their up at the Sackreiter’s home (6838 Sheriac) between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. May 21st – May 23rd or during regular hours at the pool on May 24th – May 26th.  Residents are also asked to turn in their old pool pins at that time.  New Residences in the area will have to have a utility statement to show proof of occupancy. The pool rules are printed in the Willo-Esque phone book or they are on the Web. 

Remember to have your New White & Blue lettered pool pins visible to the Lifeguards at ALL TIMES.                            NO Pin! NO Swim! NO Exceptions!

 

Pool Parties:  Private pool parties for area residents may be scheduled again this year.  Hours for parties are 9AM to Noon or 9PM to Midnight.  The cost is $30 for Lifeguard fee and $30 clean-up deposit.  To schedule a party please contact Mattie at 946-0713.

   The next scheduled neighborhood social event will be the annual picnic on July 19th at 6 p.m. at the pool complex.  More details to come.  Postponed to Sat August 16, 2003

 

 

 Jay Miller of Independent Tree Service, who also lives in the area is offering to the Residents of Willo-Esque the same price break he gives the HOA.  So if you need tree trimming or trees sprayed give Jay a call.  943-6946
