Minutes
of the Willo-Esque Homeowners Association Board of Directors meeting held
Tuesday, August 19, 2003.
Mattie
Sackreiter called the meeting to order at the Willo-Esque apartment complex
clubhouse at 7:05 p.m. All board
members and seven area residents were present.
MINUTES – After review
of the minutes of the May 13, 2003 HOA meeting, Mattie Sackreiter moved to
approve the minutes as printed. Tammy
Moore seconded the motion and the motion passed without opposition.
OLD BUSINESS – Discussed the re-model of the
bathrooms at the pool complex. The
Contractor will be back after the pool closes to re-do the bathrooms to comply
with the original contract. Floors are
to drain and sand colored floors with dark blue speckles.
FINANCIAL REPORT – Roger read
the addresses of those homeowner’s who’s dues are still delinquent. All delinquencies have liens on their
property. See list of properties at
bottom of minutes.
Mattie moved to approve it as presented. Tammy seconded the motion and it passed without opposition.
Items for next years budget that the Board will seek bids on are pool solar panel heaters, Tennis Court repair, Concrete fence maintenance, Pool/Maintenance building repair and painting.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
SOCIAL COMMITTEE – Roger stated that the Annual Picnic was poorly
attended. Other attendees stated that
the local block parties were also sparsely attended.
The next scheduled neighborhood social event will be the Halloween
hotdog roast on October 31 at 4:45pm til 5:45pm at the pool complex.
COMMON
GROUNDS – Roger said that the old wooden fence on Maple was blown down from
the storm on August 11. Estimates are
being gather to replace the fence with concrete.
A homeowner
stated that the basketball goal in 4th addition is broken. The owner stated he would fix it. The Board approved to reimburse the
homeowner for the bang board and hoop not to exceed $250.
Sprinkler System STATUS – Roger reported that the 4th addition
system was repaired and that an estimate is being pursued to add on to the
existing system to enhance the sprinkler coverage.
POOL
COMPLEX STATUS – Roger said someone cut the chain-link fence. It was repaired but green coated link fence
is no longer available. The Contractor
found some used green-coated fence.
Mattie
reported that on August 19 that someone defecated in the pool. So the pool is currently closed for
cleaning. Should open back up in a
couple days.
Roger
stated the building should be budgeted next year for some minor repairs and
painting.
TENNIS
COURTS – The double tennis court on the east court needs a new tennis
net. Both courts need to have cracks
re-sealed. Budgetable item for next
year.
AREA SECURITY – There was some
discussion of the neighborhood watch/security.
The police department has increased here existing beat. So our area now covers the boundaries of the
Big Ditch to Central and Kellogg to 21st. Those in attendance reported see the Police Bike Patrols in our
area.
NEXT
MEETING – The next HOA board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday,
October 21, 2003 at the Maple-Ridge apartment complex.
ADJOURNMENT
– The meeting adjourned at 8:21 p.m.

Directory – 2003/2004 Area phone directory will be printed and distributed by
July 10, 2003. Please replace the old
material with the new material in your one inch binder. Can’t find yours? We have some but would like to give those to new residences. Under $2.00 at any office store or
dept.
Pool Parties: Private pool parties for area residents may be scheduled again this year. Hours for parties are 9AM to Noon or 9PM to Midnight. The cost is $30 for Lifeguard fee and $30 clean-up deposit. To schedule a party please contact Mattie at 946-0713.
The next scheduled neighborhood social
event will be the annual picnic on July 19th at 6 p.m. at the pool
complex. More details to come.
Jay Miller of Independent Tree Service,
who also lives in the area is offering to the Residents of Willo-Esque the same
price break he gives the HOA. So if you
need tree trimming or trees sprayed give Jay a call. 943-6946
