Association declarations:
1. The association shall be governed
by a Board of
Directors consisting of three (3) members
who are elected by
those members
entitled to vote as hereinbefore set forth...
2. The membership shall hold an annual
meeting for the
purpose of
electing the Board of Directors, which annual
meeting shall
be held on the second Tuesday of May each year.
Mailed notice shall be sent to all
members or owners under
the
provisions of this agreement not less than thirty (30)
days, nor
more than sixty (60) days, in advance of the
meeting.
3. If two or more owners own the same
lot, they shall
collectively
cast one (1) vote.
Election Committee Interpretation of
Association By-laws and Agreement:
1. Election will be held the second
Tuesday of May each
year. Polls
are to be opened 7 – 8:00 p.m. on election date.
3. One (1) vote allowed by each lot
owner. Any one lot owned
by more than
one person, the owners shall collectively cast one vote.
4. The ballot shall consist of
nominations received by
the
Nomination Committee forty-five (45) days prior to
election
date. Write-in candidates will be allowed on ballots.
5. If a member cannot be present to
vote on election day,
an absentee
ballot may be requested from the Election
Committee chairperson no sooner than
thirty (30) days prior
to election
date. Absentee ballot voting procedure will be
included with
ballot. All ballots will be secret and will be
administered
by the Election Committee.
6. Proxies shall be filed with the
Board Secretary seven
(7) days
prior to election.
7. The Election Committee will be
responsible for
distributing
ballots, verifying membership, counting ballots
and
maintaining permanent election records.
8. Elected Board members shall serve a
term of three (3)
years. Each
term will be staggered wherein only one new
member is
elected each year unless a resignation occurs. At
the election
meeting the new Board of Directors will elect
their
President and corresponding officers.
9. The Board of Directors will appoint
members during the
annual
election meeting to serve a one (1) year term on the
Election Committee.
