Minutes of the Willo-Esque Homeowners Association Board of Directors meeting held Tuesday, May 11, 2004.

            Roger Sackreiter called the meeting to order at the Willo-Esque apartment complex clubhouse at 7:00 p.m. and declared the polls to be open.  A quorum was not present.

OLD BUSINESS – Roger passed around photographs of a boat and trailer sitting on an area driveway and a pickup truck parked in a yard.  Both are violations of area covenants with the pickup truck also being parked in violation of city ordinance.  He said photos of such violations would be published in upcoming newsletters.

Roger gave an update the repairs that were made to the bathrooms at the pool complex.  Minihan Construction Company of Valley Center, KS is negotiating with the HOA attorney to make the repairs.

Roger reported that 41 resident and 12 non-resident property owners are delinquent with their homeowner dues.

Roger stated the street sign at Winterset and O’Neil has now been replaced by the City.

            SOCIAL COMMITTEE – Roger reported the area Easter egg hunt was postponed one week from its originally scheduled date due to rain.  He said the turnout on the rescheduled date was disappointing.

            POOL COMPLEX STATUS – Roger reported that all of the lifeguards have been hired for the upcoming season.  There will be 6 lifeguards with 4 of those returning from last year.  The swimming pool will open on May 29th and close on Labor Day.

            TENNIS COURT STATUS – Roger said vandals have broken out the lights on the northeast pole of the double tennis courts.  They also damaged the tennis net and the volleyball net.

            RECESS – The meeting was recessed 8 p.m.  When Roger called the meeting back to order at 9 p.m., Mattie Sackreiter was present so there was a quorum.

MINUTES – The minutes of the March 16, 2004 HOA meeting were approved without opposition.

NEW BUSINESS – Mattie made a formal motion to publish photos of covenant violations in future newsletters for everyone to see.  Roger seconded the motion and it passed without opposition.

SPRINKLER SYSTEM STATUS – Roger stated some of the sprinklers need to be repaired in First Addition but they are so old that he does not know if he will be able to find parts for them.

            ANNUAL HOA ELECTION – Bob Orth reported that 31 votes were cast and that Andrea Johanning was elected to the board of directors.

            The officers are now:

            President – Mattie Sackreiter

            Vice-President – Andrea Johanning

            Secretary / Treasurer – Roger Sackreiter

                        The board reappointed Bob Orth, George Knapple, and Betty Peters to serve another term on the Election Committee.

            NEXT MEETING – The next HOA board meeting will be announced.   ADJOURNMENT – The meeting adjourned at 9:09 p.m.
