Minutes of the Willo-Esque Homeowners Association Board of Directors meeting held Thursday, March 31, 2005 at the Maple Ridge apartment complex clubhouse.

Roger Sackreiter called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. All of the board members were present.

MINUTES – The minutes of the May 11, 2004 meeting were reviewed. Mattie Sackreiter moved to approve the minutes as printed. Roger seconded the motion and it passed without opposition.

OLD BUSINESS – Roger reported that the company that was to redo the bathrooms at the pool complex called four days before the pool was to open last May saying they were ready to begin work. Since there was not enough time to complete the work before the pool opening, it was agreed the work would begin right after the pool closed for the season on Labor Day. There has been no contact with the company since so the homeowners association will be taking them to court in June.

FINANCIAL REPORT – Roger reported that four area homeowners are delinquent with their dues. Those will be sent to the HOA attorney for collection. After reviewing the printed financial report, Mattie moved to approve it as printed. Andrea Johanning seconded the motion and it passed without opposition.

COMMON GROUND – Jay Miller is still working to clean up the tree damage from last January’s ice storm. The tree hardest hit by the storm is by Tarabury Lane north of the double tennis courts.

MOWER STATUS - The mowers were tuned up over the winter and are ready to go.

MAINENANCE BUILDING – New doors, a new office window, and new concrete siding has been installed on the maintenance building. There is also a new security lock on the west door.

PLAYGROUNDS – Roger reported there has been quite a bit of damage to the playground equipment west of the double tennis courts over the last few months.

WEB SITE – Photographs of the tree damage from the ice storm and other information pertaining to Willo-Esque is available on the web site at: http://www.willo-esque.com/index.htm

BUDGET – Roger presented a proposed budget for 2005. After some review, Mattie moved to approve it as presented. Mattie seconded the motion and it passed without opposition.

NEW BUSINESS – There was some discussion about shortening the time the polls are open for the annual election of HOA board members beginning in 2006. No action was taken but Roger said the matter would be taken up again at the next meeting.

Roger reported the Willo-Esque annual area wide garage sale is traditionally held on the last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday that all three days fall in April so this year, that will be April 28-30. The Roger moved to purchase three banners reading “Area Wide Garage Sale, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday” to be placed on the walls at the three main entrances to Willo-Esque for the weekend. Mattie seconded the motion and it passed without opposition. The board reiterated that the garage sale is an unofficial function of the Willo-Esque Homeowners Association.

ANNUAL MEETING AND ELECTION – The next meeting will be the annual meeting on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at the Maple Ridge apartment complex clubhouse at 7 p.m. The annual election for one position on the HOA board of directors will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. that evening.
