Minutes of the Willo-Esque Homeowners Association Board of
Directors meeting held
Roger
Sackreiter called the meeting to order at
OLD BUSINESS – The first order of business was to appoint a new board member and president of the board to serve out the unexpired term of Mattie Sackreiter. Roger moved to appoint Jerry Johanning to the position. Andrea seconded the motion and it passed without opposition.
MINUTES
– The minutes of the
FINANCIAL REPORT – After review of the financial report, Roger moved to accept it as printed. Andrea seconded the motion and it passed without opposition.
NEW BUSINESS – The board presented a proposed budget for 2006. Roger pointed out that funds are included to add a covered storage space on the north side of the pool complex for storage to help alleviate the crowded storage space in the existing storage building. Andrea moved to except the new budget as proposed. Roger seconded the motion and it passed without opposition.
ARCHITECTURAL
CONTROL COMMITTEE REPORT – Bob Lawrence reported that changes to an
existing fence had been approved on
Roger reported that a storage shed had been erected in Second Edition without the approval of the architectural committee. He also reported that a new composite roof has been put on a home on El Stranda and another on a home on Vantage View.
COMMON GROUND – Roger said the common ground is usually fertilized every other year but it has been so dry this year that horticulturists are recommending it not be done this year.
Roger also reported that the park benches along the sidewalks the area are well worn, some are broken, and all are in need of replacement.
Betty
Peters reported a dead tree on the common ground near
PLAYGROUNDS – The baby swings in Fourth Edition are broken and need to be replaced.
SWIMMING POOL STATUS – Roger said he would retain the position of pool manager.
TENNIS COURTS – Roger reported that last winter’s ice storm ruined the nets on the double tennis courts and the volleyball net. Those have now been replaced.
NEW
BUSINESS – Roger reported that Jan Doze has resigned as the
Willo-Esque bookkeeper and that he will be performing those duties for the time
being. Roger also said the Willo-Esque
web site at http://willo-esque.com/ is
kept current and there are links to many resources there. One of those is the e-mail address of the
neighborhood policeman for our area which is: dwertz@wichita.gov
ANNUAL
BOARD ELECTION – Roger reported that the annual election for one
board member position will be on Tuesday evening, May 9th. The poles will be open from

Area Wide Garage Sales – The annual garage sales for the area will be held the last full week
of April on Thursday. Friday, and Saturday, April 27, 28, and 29, 2006. If you are planning
to have a garage sale please get a permit from the City of
Annual Meeting and Board Election – Willo-Esque
HOA annual meeting and Board of Directors annual election will be held on
Lifeguards - Pool Manager is currently looking for Lifeguards. If you know of anyone or
