Easter Egg Hunt – Easter Egg hunt is held on the Saturday before Easter Sunday at the Pool Complex, 12 Noon

Garage Sales – Area wide garage sale are always held the last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the month of April

National Night Out 2009 is just around the corner, so mark your calendar for the annual fun-filled event that over the years has put Wichita on the map.

Last year, Wichita ranked 5th nationally among cities around the country for its National Night Out celebration. This year, NNO 2009 begins on July 31st with the sponsored luncheon and kick-off event at the Homewood Suites by Hilton. Then, later that night there’s more fun in store during the KEYN Summer Concert and Motorcycle Rally in Old Town. The events continue on Saturday, August 1st with Family Day at the Sedgwick County Zoo. On Sunday, August 2nd there’s a concert and family event at Sedgwick County Park sponsored by Radio Fiesta. That’s followed by Family Day at the Warren Theatres with discounted ticket prices on Monday, August 3rd.

Then, on Tuesday, August 4th the block parties around Wichita get under way as citizens across our community get together to fight crime and take back the night. This year, block parties are encouraged to collect items for the Kansas Food Bank and help the less fortunate in our community.

Hotdog Roast – The annual hotdog roast and costume parade on Wednesday October 31 at 4:45PM til 5:45PM at the pool complex. Costume parade at 5:15PM. Food – Prizes – Come join in the fun prior to trick or treating the neighborhood?
