I.        Keep your garage door closed. This presents a neat appearance in the area and deters prowlers.

2.       Keep your cars in the garage overnight and not in the street. Allow no trucks to be parked overnight in the street or in your driveway.

3.    Keep your lawn and shrubbery well-trimmed. Lawn cuttings and other trimmings should be in suitable packages and placed curbside for weekly trash pickup. Dumping on public property is prohibited and creates a nuisance.

4.       Keep your house painted and in good repair at all times. Maintain the sidewalks and curbs in front of your home.

5.     Do not allow debris to collect in your yard and do not leave tools, equipment and hoses outside.

6.       Before making any changes in your property, (additions, fences, satellite dishes, roofs, etc.) obtain required approval through your homeowners association and/or city hallArchitectural Control Form

7.       Exterior lighting should not be directed toward neighbor’s homes in a way that creates an annoyance.

8.       Trash containers should not be left in a visible area except on trash collection days.

9.       Walk your dog on a leash rather than letting it roam free. Keep your dog from fouling your neighbor’s lawns, and from barking for extended periods.

10.     Cats can also create a nuisance by killing songbirds and littering children’s sandboxes or garden plots. Don’t allow them to roam unattended.

11.     Report suspicious individuals, vehicles, and activities to the police. Alert neighbors are everyone’s best defense against crime.

12.   Offer to pick up newspapers and watch neighbors’ homes while they’re out of town. Maybe they’ll offer to do the same for you!
