Rules
and regulations
1.
The Lifeguard is in charge and has full authority to deal with
any violators of the "Rules and Regulations" and may eject
anyone for the day, week, month, or summer.
2.
Willo-Esque ID pins are issued to each resident by pin number.
These ID pins will be good from year to year. Lost pins may be replaced for $2.00 each. Residents who move
are asked to turn in their pins upon moving.
All residents must wear a Willo-Esque ID pin when in the pool
complex. Any ID pins being
used by unauthorized people may be confiscated by a Lifeguard, Pool
Manager, Board of Director, or Pool Committee member.
3.
All "Guest(s)" must be accompanied by a resident with
ID pin. Accompanied means
resident must stay with "Guest(s)".
All residents with "Guest(s)" must check in with the
Lifeguard. Maximum number of "Guests" per household is five
(5).
4.
Persons with infections, sores, or communicable diseases will not
be allowed in the pools. All
children ages three and under MUST WEAR LEAK-PROOF SWIMMERS or your
child(ren) will be restricted to the baby pool ONLY!
5.
Only swim suits are allowed in the pools. No cut-offs, jeans,
etcetera.
6.
No running or rough play, including tossing people up and out of
the water. No standing, diving, jumping, or riding on the shoulders. No
towel flipping, dunking, foul language, or crying wolf for help.
7.
T-shirt clad swimmers will only be allowed in the shallow end of
the pools. All intended life saving devices will be limited to the
shallow end of the pools. This
includes life jackets.
8.
Public display of affection will not be tolerated within the pool
complex.
9.
Air mattresses and inner-tubes will be permitted in the south
pool only from 12:00pm (noon) to 2:00pm at the discretion of the
lifeguard. For the purpose
of tanning and floating on the water, no splashing or wakes will be
permitted.
10.
No towels or gum chewing is allowed in the pools.
11.
Do not hang on the ropes.
12.
Everyone must shower before entering the pools and again after
applying lotions.
13.
No diving allowed.
14.
Children under eight (8) years of age must be accompanied
by and supervised by a person of at least twelve (12) years old.
15.
No glass is allowed in the pool complex.
All beverages, lotions, etcetera, must be in unbreakable
containers.
16.
Intoxication is not permitted.
17.
Food, drink, and smoking will not be permitted immediately
adjacent to the pools.
18.
No one is allowed in the pools when an electrical or thunderstorm
is in the area. Follow the Lifeguard's instructions.
19.
WHA is not responsible for personal property.
20.
No pets are allowed inside the pool complex.
21.
No bikes, roller skates, roller blades, nor skate boards may be
used inside the fenced area(s).
22.
Bikes must be parked off the bike paths.
23.
Use bike racks when available.
24.
The use of pool toys and games will be regulated by the
Lifeguard. Air mattresses
and inner-tubes will be limited to the shallow ends, with exception of
rule number 9.
25.
Sundays from 5:00pm to closing, the south pool will be for adult
or lap swimming, upon request and at the Lifeguard's discretion.
Request must be made to the Lifeguard on duty.
26.
Private pool parties are to be scheduled via the Pool Manager.
All pool parties must be approved by WHA Board of Directors
and/or Pool Manager. Only
WHA residents may request pool parties.
27.
Absolutely no swimming is allowed unless the Lifeguard is on duty
and present at poolside.
28.
Each year the pool games will be reviewed and approved by the
pool committee.
29.
"Safety breaks" are initiated at Lifeguard discretion.
30.
"A Safety break" is defined as:

A period of time where
everyone is to exit completely from all pools
·
Length of time period of
"Safety break" is at the discretion of Lifeguard(s) on duty
·
Beginning and ending of
"Safety break" is signaled by Lifeguard blowing whistle
31.
Lifeguard(s) are not expected to answer phone(s).
32.
Complex users assume responsibility to seek, understand, and
follow any/all rules.
33.
Lifeguard(s) are not baby-sitters. Parents of children have the
obligation to actively pursue the safety of their minors.
34.
Underage persons, while inside the WHA Pool Complex, are banned
from smoking. Underage is defined by local, state, and/or federal
ordinances. No smoking by
anyone inside or adjacent to building.
35.
Defecating in pools is a serious health hazard.
If an accident we
understand, TELL LIFEGUARD. To
those individual(s) blatantly
violating this City Ordinance will be banned
from the pool complex.
